ERSA SL 4 Norfolk
With the cables being caught up in
the lift and the first racer having to re-run, Bernie must have been thinking
that his plan to run the race early and finish quickly was crashing around
his ears. Not so, the race ran
smoothly and despite the heat and a few technical problems a great day’s
skiing took place at Norfolk. El Presedente
says (and I quote) " A hot day when the Vikings were smokin'. The Vikings got on the podium 11
times. Fantastic. Our presence was felt by the other clubs and so lets keep it up for Tallington
and the races after the summer break. Have fun and ski fast."

ERSA SL 3 Vikings!
a.
Have breakfast in bed, receive a card from your
child/children maybe watch the World Cup? Or
b.
Get up really early on a Sunday morning, drive to Ipswich, get rained on, get
sunburnt, watch some skiing and then go home? Well thankfully, a number of fathers
(and mothers) and of course those few adult racers that arrive un-encumbered
arrived at Ipswich for a great days skiing. The weather could have been
nicer, especially for the starters at the top of the slope,
they definitely felt the wind by the end of the third run. With 129 racers
most of the age categories were strongly contended. Vikings and Norfolk taking most of the
spoils (13 out of 21 -
1st places), but it was down to Daniel Curtis from
Brentwood Park to trailblaze with the fastest time
of 12.27s.
